Sorry for the dead air lately. My thesis deadline is ever approaching and while there might have been plenty tea, there has been little time to write anything of the non-scholarly genre.
However, there is always time for adventure. Especially librarian adventures. They are the best kind after all. So it is with great excitement (and immense gratitude to the Cataloguing and Indexing SIG) that I get to be writing today from a very wobbly table in the exhibition hall of the CILIP Conference 2017!!! I am like a kid at Christmas. I’m surrounded by so many inspiring people in the field I am diving into head first. I’ve spent some time talking to such a vast variety of people all brought together by common interests and it has made for a truly amazing atmosphere.
As for now though, I must caffeinate and mingle. There are too many people here I still haven’t met yet (including one rather epic looking man in a suit with dreadlocks whom I have decided I must get to know).
However, because I won’t have much time to be waxing lyrical in blog posts about this amazing place, I’ll be capping my character count and live-tweeting in real time. Don’t worry though, I’ll embed them all here for you to follow and if you want to keep up in real time, just click my username here! (@MamphofMischief)
